Happy New Year's Eve

Would you like to go to a masquerade party?

If so, check out this excerpt from my book:
The Killing Moon: An Erotic Vampire Romance

I’m surprised when I see Candy of all people walk into the restaurant.  She’s on the arm of a well-dressed man who looks twice her age.  Maybe she’s found herself a sugar daddy.  They sit across the room from me, and I enjoy watching her in action as she works on the guy.  She’s full of giggles and flirtation and is really in her element.  John Thomas sees her and walks to her table.  He kisses her hand and greets her new friend.  I wonder how well they know each other.

Soon, he’s back to my table with a half-bottle of champagne.

I ask him, “Do you know Candy?”

“Yes.  I’ve seen her at parties.”

“My friends sent her to my house as a present for my 21st birthday.”

“Really?” he seems very interested.  “How’d it go?”

“It was fun.”

“Really?” he asks, showing even more interest.  “I wish I had more time to talk, but the restaurant is filling up.  I hope you come again.”

“I shall.”

He stands and takes my hand, kissing it before leaving.

The server asks for my order, and I tell her, “I’ll have the Fish Stew Provencal.”

“Good choice,” she says and goes off to the kitchen to inform the chef.

After she leaves, I glance over at Candy and find her looking back at me.  She waves and I wave back.  I haven’t thought of her for a long time.  Suddenly, I miss her company.  Too bad she makes me pay every time we have sex.  She and her sugar daddy leave, and I eat my delicious meal all by myself.  I watch as John Thomas moves from table to table, making each guest feel special.  He sure knows how to show a girl a good time.  Too bad he can’t sit and talk to me.  As I look around and see friends and lovers laughing at their tables, I feel so lonely. I finish my meal and stand to leave, looking for John Thomas to thank him.  I see him coming out of the kitchen with a bottle of wine and I walk over to him.  “Once again, thank you so much.  I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.”

He holds and kisses my hand and says, “Always a pleasure to see you.  Please come again.”

“I shall,” I tell him and return home to my lonely empty house.

When I arrive back home, my phone rings.  It’s Candy calling.

“Renee, it was good to see you again.”

“Always a pleasure to see you, Candy.”

“I’m glad you feel that way.  I’m calling to invite you to a party.”

“What kind of party?”

“A masquerade party.  Wouldn’t that be fun?”

“Do I have to pay anything to go?”

“No.  You’ll be my guest.  I was told I could bring a friend.  And I choose you.”

“Sounds fun.  Where will it be?”

“At the house of the guy who owns YUM restaurant.”

“John Thomas?”

“Yes.”

“Wow!” I answer.  This just gets even more exciting.

She asks, “So, what’s your answer?  Yes or no?”

“Yes.  It’ll be fun.  I love masquerade parties.”

An Erotic Train Story

Hell on Wheels: A Sexy Western

I love long-distance train rides and am so excited that tomorrow I’ll be traveling from Los Angeles to Seattle on the Coast Starlight, one of America’s most scenic routes that features beautiful views of the California coastline.

I wrote an erotic train story that takes place in the 1860s during the building of the transcontinental railroad.  It’s told from the point of view of an 18-year-old girl who experienced that moment in history firsthand.  I hope you’ll take a look at this coming-of-age story and travel along with her and read all about her various sexual adventures.

The book is called “Hell on Wheels: A Sexy Western.”

It’s available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple, Smashwords and Kobo.

An Erotic Version of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility

Jane Austen with Zombies? Jane Austen as erotica? What's the world coming to? What would Jane say? We will never know the answer, but it's fun to imagine. I think that Marianne in Sense and Sensibility is one of the most sensual characters Austen ever created--if we don't count Lydia--that blatant slut in Pride and Prejudice. Marianne is guided by her emotions and tends to get carried away, especially when it comes to love. She is so obsessed with romance and feelings, that I can envision her "going all the way" with bad boy, Willoughby.

My modern-day Austen variation is a romantic comedy about Marianne's sexual awakening. In the first scenes of Austen's book, we find Marianne drenched in a rainstorm when she first meets dashing Willoughby, who comes to her rescue after she's fallen and twisted her ankle. I take it a step further by having her leave the house and not only forgetting an umbrella, despite warnings that it's going to rain, but also forgetting to wear a bra under her thin cotton blouse. By the time Willoughby sees her, she's so soaking wet that she could win a wet t-shirt contest at a sleazy bar. She is very well-endowed, a fact that Willoughly can't help but notice. No wonder he gets so much enjoyment reading, upon her request, the very sexy poem "I Sing the Body Electric" by Walt Whitman.

She tries to keep her feelings in check, but each time she sees him, her powers of resistance break down, especially after he accuses her of being afraid of sex.

Her eroticism has a playful side when she and her sister Elinor attend a masquerade party in the Hollywood Hills. She dresses up like a flirty and naughty Scarlett O'Hara and a sexy cop at the party ends her handcuffing her when she won't behave herself. Her sister, Elinor, who's usually so judgmental and prudent, shows up at the party dressed as Cat Woman. A movie star famous for his role as Mr. Darcy takes a shine to her and we see a whole new side of her also. Her inhibitions go right out the window, and Marianne discovers her older sister sitting on Darcy's lap, wrapping her Cat Woman whip around his neck and making wickedly playful sexual innuendos. When Marianne comes back home from the party, she looks at her naked body and .... I won't tell you....You have to read the book.

It only costs 99 cents.

Available at Amazon, iTunes, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Google Play, and Kobo.

An Erotic Noir Mystery

I love old film noir mysteries. Do you?

This picture was one of many that inspired my erotic mystery, "Taken In."

Here's an excerpt from "Taken In":

"They were silent for a few minutes, bathed in the afterglow. Coltrane’s saxophone played dreamily in the background.

She noticed a gold-plated cigar ashtray on the bedside table and asked, “Do you mind if I smoke, honey?”

“Sure.  Be my guest."

She walked over to her purse and pulled out a cigarette, then came back to bed. Sitting up and leaning against the headboard, she lit her cigarette and blew out a few smoke rings. Both sat wordlessly, listening to the music, each deep in thought.  When the song ended, Jessica stood and said, “You know, Detective. I’m really going to miss this.”

With hooded eyes, he glared at her with suspicion. “What do you mean you’re going to miss this?”

She put out her cigarette and gathered her belongings.  After dressing, she reached into her handbag, pulled out a compact, and reapplied her cherry red lipstick. Drawing out each word, she told him, “Detective Harrison, you are very lucky that I like you.”

Then, abruptly, she stood and kissed the top of his head and headed for the door.

“What the hell did you mean by that?” he yelled. "Hey, Jessica! Where are you going?!"

"Bye, honey," she replied and quietly shut the door behind her.

He was flabbergasted by her behavior and cried out, "Hey! Jessica! This isn't fun and games anymore! I'm serious! Where are you going?! Untie me! Get me out of this damn chair!"

Only silence, in a darkened room, echoed his complaint."

An Erotic Romance That Takes Place in the 19th Century Brothels of New Orleans

I love New Orleans and have visited there many times.  I’m a fan of the city’s unique architecture, cuisine, the rich history of jazz musicians who played and still play there, and the atmosphere of its creepy yet beautiful cemeteries.

I think it would be so interesting to be able to go back in time and listen to all the great musicians who played in the brothels of Storyville, New Orleans’ 19th-century red-light district. It was there where brilliant pianist Jelly Roll Morton got his start. A young Louis Armstrong earned money by hauling coal to the brothels and saloons there.

When I wrote Storyville: A Time Travel Erotic Romance, I had Jelly Roll Morton in mind when I created the male main character, a sexy Creole man who plays in one of Storyville’s brothels, meets a young woman from modern times and takes her on a trip back in time to the late 1800s.

I’ve been lucky to have sold over 100 copies of this erotic ghost story and I have received some of my best reviews ever with this tale.

Here are what some reviewers have said about my book:

"A well written and heartwarming ghost story, truly romantic and also quite erotic.”

"It's the sort of story I can see coming back to time and again and enjoying it each time. I would like reading more from Maggie May about these characters, but you know, this story may be right just the way it is."

"I must be Maggie May's biggest fan.  Her stories are so well-written it feels like you are in the scene with the characters! Storyville is a ghostly tale which explores many aspects of supernatural sexuality and is fast-paced and fun to read."

"A wonderfully atmospheric erotic romance. As a lover of all things New Orleans, it was hard to ignore this one. It’s the story of a young woman's introduction to the heady times of Storyville with help from a unique guide (no spoiler here!) who lovingly shows her the magic of years gone by."

“Their love for each other is felt immediately. He helps Roxy adjust to life in the Quarter as well as in his life. He teaches her things about herself and shows her how by letting go the impossible can happen. I really liked how the author describes their time together, the love scenes are explicit and very well-written.”

Happy Mardi Gras

It's Mardi Gras in New Orleans and unfortunately, the parades have been canceled this year due to COVID.

That doesn't mean that lovers of the city have to do without. Take a trip to the Big Easy and be an armchair traveler with my erotic time travel book, "Storyville: A Time Travel Erotic Romance."

Here's an excerpt. (Warning: Adult Content)

I looked over towards Jackson Square and saw some horse-drawn carriages.  “Let’s take one of those when we’re done eating.  I’ve always wanted to ride in one,” I told Jan Baptiste, a handsome Creole piano player whom I just met.

Ten minutes later, we walked across the street and hired one.  The driver helped us into the carriage and told his pony to giddy-up. As he was pulling away, he asked, “Were y'all eating at the Cafe du Monde?”

“Yes,” I answered.

He said, “It’s the original coffee stand in the French Market.  It was established in 1862.  In English, its name means “Café of the People.”

The sound of a calliope blasted and began its cheerful tune. I started laughing. “This is just like Disneyland!” I gushed.

The driver pointed to a paddlewheel in the Mississippi that looked like it was right out of a Mark Twain story.  He told us, “You can take the Steamboat Natchez and go on a Jazz Dinner.  Lots of couples like that.”

We rode on and a lot of people stopped and pointed at us.  I felt very special, like royalty almost.  The driver took us over to The Cornstalk Hotel.  He pointed out the wrought-iron fence that resembled cornstalks and told us that the original owner had it made for his new bride because she was homesick for her family’s farm in the Midwest.

Jan put his arm around me and held me close.  The driver noticed that we weren’t paying any attention to his spiel anymore, so on the ride back to Café du Monde he drove on without speaking.  Jan put his hand on my knee and I didn’t stop him.  I was falling in love with him already, and I’d barely met him.  I was so attracted to him!  He seemed so foreign with his French name and Southern-Gentleman manners.  I was feeling like Scarlett O’Hara who’d finally met the man of her dreams.

When we arrived back at the café, he said, “Let’s walk on the moonwalk.”

“What’s that?” I asked.

“It’s what we call the promenade along the river.  We can sit and watch the boats go by.”

“Why’s it called the Moonwalk?”

“From what I’ve heard, it was named after a mayor, Maurice ‘Moon’ Landrieu.”

When we got to the banks of the Mississippi River, I saw a lit-up steamboat sailing on the water with people dancing inside and out on the deck.

“Let’s go do that sometime,” I told him boldly.

“Yes.  I’ll make sure we do.  I’d be honored to escort you.”

He held my hand and we walked along the riverbank.  He showed me more of the French Market and as we were walking, the crowds got thinner.

We were in the back of the Palm Court Jazz Café and felt safe and secure in our own bubble.  I was startled when he pinned me against the wall and put my arms above my head.  I was surprised by this gesture.  No man had ever acted so dominant.  I felt a bit like I was tied up.  Like I was in his power.  But—I liked the feeling.  It was so exciting and new.  In contrast, when he kissed my lips, it was with a very soft touch.  I could have kissed him like that all night long.  He put his hand up my dress and felt my wet pussy soaking my undies.  He ripped off my thong and fingered my slit.  It felt so good!  He could feel the excitement in me building as I was on the cusp of an orgasm.  Right when I was ready to blow, he stopped.

“Please,” I begged him.  “Don’t stop!”

“I don’t want our first time to be like this.”

“I’m liking it just fine.  Let’s keep going,” I vainly tried to convince him.

“No, my dear.  I think I’d better walk you to your house.  Besides, I have a prior engagement tonight.”

“Okay,” I said with disappointment and jealousy.  Who was he seeing after me tonight? I wondered.

“May I call on you again?” he politely asked as he left me on my doorstep.

“Of course,” I said.  “I’m looking forward to spending more time with you.  We have some unfinished business.”

He kissed my hand and said, “Au Revoir.  Until we meet again,” then vanished, it seemed, into thin air.
